Wish Inflicted in studio recording new EP

Wish Inflicted is at work in the studio again, recording tracks for a new EP, tentatively titled "Explore!"  We plan to put together professional studio recordings of 4 new songs.  The band is once again partnering with Scott Llamas at PopSmear Studios in San Rafael.  Keep your eyes out for further news here.

Oaktoberfest

A HUGE thanks to those who came to see our performance on the Family Stage of Oaktoberfest, October 5th, 2013 in Oakland, the 6th annual community fundraiser in the Dimond district of Oakland.  We were happy to have a repeat performance at the festival, and some of you may have even tried Brian's homebrew at the Mad Zymurgists booth in the Hoptech Homebrew Alley.  What a way to combine multiple passions!  The festival was absolutely incredible, and each year seems to top the last.

When Something Burns This Bright

Album Update, Sep., 2011:

Wish Inflicted completed mixing and mastering work on their debut album project, "When Something Burns This Bright." Working with producer Scott Llamas of PopSmear Records, we crafted 14 tracks to create our first full-length LP. You can currently access a number of samples (the first six tracks!) in our site-wide music player.

Wish Inflicted to play North Umpqua Music Fest

Wish Inflicted has been tapped to play the inaugural North Umpqua Music Festival, a new arts & music festival near Roseburg, OR.  Set on a 265 acre ranch, the festival is nestled in the foothills of the North Umpqua river. This is the perfect place to enjoy a day of dancing, eating, browsing local crafts or just relaxing with your family.  See our Gigs page for details.

Final Brainwash Songwriter Showcase

After a 5-year run playing the last Tuesday of the month, the band is bringing its monthly songwriter showcase at the Brainwash Café in San Francisco, "Wish Inflicted presents," to a close.  Our final showcase there was held August 31st, 2010.  It has been a great experience working with so many phenomenally talented artists, and we would like to take a moment to thank those who joined us on the the "small stage" over the showcase's five year history.  You know who you are (or can find yourselves in our gig history)!

Thanks to those who supported us over the history of the showcase, and attended great monthly shows such as the "Haunted Laundromat" each October.  The change will allow us to better focus on full band shows as we release our first full length album.  We will also be putting renewed emphasis on writing new material and honing our live performances.

Guitar Player Magazine Recognizes WI

Wish Inflicted was grateful to be featured as one of the Big Eight in the Editor's "Web Hordes" section of Guitar Player magazine (in Nov '08).  This is the magazine's way of recognizing up-and-coming underground and D.I.Y. talent.  It features comments on various artists' music from around the world, as reviewed by editor Michael Molenda.  Take a look at the article, through the link above.  Our sincere thanks go out to Guitar Player for including us in this feature, as well as to Ernie Ball for the prizes!
